IAOR - international aerial organism registry

Most of society is aware of the various anomalous flying objects (UFOs) which are frequently spotted flying through the skies above. Most often these emit lights of various colours, and move quite quickly or in odd patterns. Many paranormal researchers, and indeed members of the public, believe them to be alien spacecraft. Much effort is put into explaining UFOs as the space-ships of visiting aliens, but the reality is much different.

The great majority of these unusual flying objects are actually living creatures, which evolved on this earth hundreds of millions of years ago, before colonising the skies.

The IAOR exists to catalogue and classify these aerial organisms, otherwise known as “critters”, as well as various earthly creatures which appear to be refugees from this realm of sky creatures. Some critters inhabit the air exclusively, and cannot move when on the ground, while others are more adaptable forms which can survive on the surface.

For the most part, these creatures are harmless, but some of the predatory forms can be quite aggressive when agitated. Also, sightings of critters can cause considerable civil unrest, panic, and even give rise to myths of demonic or monstrous entities.

It is for this reason that critters as we know them are best kept a secret from the public for now; this registry will be disclosed at a later date to facilitate greater awareness of this little-known fauna.
